Enzyme Activities of Serum and Cerebrospinal Fluid in Cases of Head Inury and Cerebrovascular Diseases

Abstract
The creatine phosphokinase activities of serum and cerebrospinal fluid were compared with clinical findings in cases of head injury and cerebrovascular diseases.
1. In the cases of head injury creatine phosphokinase activities of serum and cerebrospinal fluid were significantly increased.
2. There was a tendency¢¥ for the cerebrospinal fluid enzyme to rise in cases of spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage and cerebral infarction.
3.It is supposed that the isoenzyme of creatine phosphokinase will be studied for a satisfactory explanation of the mechanism by which creatine phosphokinase activity is increased in cerebal diseases.
